Information from the Texas Workforce Commission.  Helpful links and numbers to call to apply for benefits.  

There are some helpful responses that were provided for us when you apply.

1. In response to you losing your job. You will respond that you were Laid Off.

   (Do not mention to Workforce that you retired, or that you voluntarily left company)

2. They will ask you if you were a union working employee. You will respond that you are a union employee from a non-hiring union local.
